Camp PMC Course 101

Saturdays: Aug 14, 21, 28, & Sept 4, 11 6:00pm-9:00pm (Eastern Time)

This Camp PMC certification course is a 5-week Zoom course (one 2-3 hour class per week). Students will make one project per week for a total of 5 projects. These projects include a pair of earrings with a fireable stone, a double-textured pendant with syringe detail, wrapped beads, a sculpted toggle clasp, and a wrapped ring with a fireable stone.


Students receive 20g of PMC3, 25g of PMC OneFire 950, 5g of PMC Flex, and a 9g PMC3 Syringe. Students also receive fireable stones, embeddable findings, and a comprehensive student manual. Consumables and tools are NOT provided in Zoom classes.


Upon completion of the projects and lecture time, students will take a short written test. Each student will then receive a Certificate of Completion from Sawtooth School for Visual Art and an 8% discount on all PMC clays at Clay Revolution and Rio Grande Jewelry Supply.

Soldering & Fusing on PMC: Course 103

Tuesdays:  June 15, 22, 29, & July 6 5:00pm-8:00pm (Eastern Time)

Camp PMC Course 101 is a pre-requisite to this course. 

This Camp PMC certification course is a 4-week Zoom course (one 2-3 hour class per week). This course teaches students the basic techniques of soldering sterling silver, copper, brass, and metal clays, as well as fusing Fine Silver and Argentium. Students will make one project per week for a total of 4 projects. These projects include Fine Silver and Argentium fused earrings, Fine Silver post earrings, .950 OneFire soldered ring with a stone, and a .950 OneFire/mixed metal pendant with a stone.


Students receive 15g PMC3, 25g PMC OneFire 950, bezel cups, gemstones, silver solder, copper blank, sterling silver ring stock, and sterling silver earring posts. Students also receive a comprehensive student manual. Consumables and tools are NOT provided in Zoom classes.


Upon completion of the projects and lecture time, students will take a short written test. Each student will then receive a Certificate of Completion from Sawtooth School for Visual Art and an 8% discount on all PMC clays at Clay Revolution and Rio Grande Jewelry Supply.

Elemental Linked Bracelet: Course 104

Wednesdays: July 14, 21, 28, & August 4 5:00pm-8:00pm (Eastern Time)

Camp PMC Course 101 is a pre-requisite to this course.

This Camp PMC certification course is a 4-week Zoom course (one 2-3 hour class per week). In this course students will learn the fundamental techniques of setting stones with bezel wire and bezel cups. Students will first design a PMC bracelet using both PMC3 and PMC Flex to create heavy, detailed links which can be fired together. Once the bracelet is complete, students will shift from metal clay work to basic soldering skills to create fitted bezels and settings.


Students receive 30g PMC3, 30g PMC Flex, natural cabochons, cubic zirconia, silver bezel cups, silver bezel wire, and silver solder. Students also receive a comprehensive student manual. Consumables and tools are NOT provided in Zoom classes.

Camp PMC Course 101 is a pre-requisite to this course.

This Camp PMC certification course is a 4-week Zoom course (one 2-3 hour class per week). In this fun course, students will utilize PMC Syringe clay to create five unique rings which can all be made without a kiln.

Students will make five ring projects including two simple silver bands, a band with embedded cubic zirconia, a band with soldered tube settings, and finally a soldered sterling sheet metal band with a PMC spinner ring. Students will learn to design unique rings, torch fire and solder sterling and fine silver.


Students receive four packs of 9g PMC3 Syringe, sterling silver sheet stock, silver tube bezels, and a variety of cubic zirconia. Students also receive a comprehensive student manual. Consumables and tools are NOT provided in Zoom classes.

3 Kinds of Enameling with PMC: 106

Camp PMC Course 101 is a pre-requisite to this course.

This Camp PMC certification course is a 4-week Zoom course (one 2-3 hour class per week). This course is designed to teach students everything they need to know about enameling on PMC. Students will learn to create enamel test strips as well as make three different types of enamel projects. Students will make a cloisonné pendant, a champlevé pendant and a pair of plique-à-jour earrings. The students will learn the necessary skills required to do many types of enameling on their own.

Students receive 50 grams PMC3, fine silver cloisonné wire, fine silver bezel wire, sterling silver ear wires, silver embeddable eyelets, a selection of opaque & transparent enamels including Thompson Klyr-Fire (A-1), and an enameling trivet. Students also receive a comprehensive student manual. Consumables and tools are NOT provided in Zoom classes.

Incorporating Glass with PMC: 107

Wednesdays: October 6, 13, 20, 27

Camp PMC Course 101 is a pre-requisite to this course. 

This Camp PMC certification course is a 4-week Zoom course (one 2-3 hour class per week). In this course students will learn how to fuse glass in the kiln, and then incorporate that fused glass into 3 different metal clay projects. Students will make at least 8 glass cabochons, allowing for some choices to be made with regard to their projects. Projects include a simple pendant using the high-fire method, earrings using the low-fire method, and a more complex pendant using the low-fire method.


Students receive 30g PMC Flex, 9g PMC3 Syringe, sterling silver ear wires, silver embeddable eyelets, a selection of sized glass (COE90 or COE96), and Bullseye ThinFire shelf paper. Students also receive a comprehensive student manual. Consumables and tools are NOT provided in Zoom classes.
